Choosing a shade that complements their natural coloring, such as dark brown, light brown, ashy brown, or red-toned brown, helps create a soft, seamless blend. We recommend using clear adhesive when applying in order for the color to fully show. Try not to use too much glue if you’re using a black adhesive as it can run up the fan and prevent that seamless, airy look on the lash line. 

You can also try mixing black and brown lashes together for a fun, yet subtle look! There are no rules for when it comes to getting creative with your sets. Have fun with it and try this combination to add some texture! 

Note that if your clients are looking for a dramatic look, brown lashes may not be for them. They don’t appear as dark as black lashes but they still give off that volume and fluffy look! 

Lash Styles to Try

Wet Lash

One way to enhance the look of brown lash extensions is to try the wet lash look.  The result is a glossy, wet-looking finish that can make your eyes appear brighter and more awake. To achieve the wet lash look, you will need to apply only closed fans or spikes to your set. We recommend this for clients with a moderate to full lash line.

Volume Cat-Eye

You can never go wrong with a cat-eye! However, note that this style does not suit everyone. It’s perfect for those who have almond or round shaped eyes as it is designed to accentuate the outer corners of your eyes, creating a cat-like appearance that is both sultry and seductive. 

To achieve the perfect cat-eye look, apply longer lashes to the outer corners of your client's eyes and gradually taper them towards the inner corners. This technique creates a subtle yet stunning effect that will make their eyes pop and give that alluring gaze! It will look as if they are wearing brown eyeliner!

Aftercare

Maintenance for brown lash extensions is similar to that of black lash extensions. Avoid getting them wet for the first 24 hours and avoid using oil-based products around the eye area. It's also important to avoid rubbing or pulling on the lashes, as this can cause them to fall out prematurely. With proper care, brown lash extensions can last up to six weeks.
