THE ULTIMATE LASH PREP & SET ROUTINE

THE ULTIMATE LASH PREP & SET ROUTINE

Your prep and finishing steps are just as important as lash isolation and placement. That's where primer and bonder come in, but only if you use them correctly. This guide walks you through a complete prep-to-finish routine that maximizes retention!

PREP ROUTINE

Step 1: Lash Bath

Using a lash shampoo to cleanse the natural lashes is important for removing natural oils, makeup residue, and impurities that can effect your retention. Make the most out of this step by:

  1. Use a professional grade lash shampoo, such as our Whipped Lash Shampoo or regular Lash Shampoo.
  2. Dispense a small amount of lash shampoo directly onto eyelids or onto a brush.
  3. Use brush to gently massage the lashes in circular motions.
  4. Thoroughly rinse the lashes with water.
  5. Gently pat the lashes dry with a clean towel or tissue.

Pro tip: Never skip drying. Any moisture will prevent the adhesive from adhering properly.

Step 2: Apply Lash Primer

To balance the pH levels of natural lashes and allowing extensions to adhere better, use a lash primer.

  1. Use a micro-brush or disposable lip applicator.
  2. Apply 1-2 drops onto brush.
  3. Gently apply to the natural lashes. Avoid direct contact with eyes.
  4. Use a fan or let it air dry completely. Proceed with lashing as usual.

Before you begin lashing, make sure that lashes are clean and completely dry, and there’s no residue from the shampoo. Then proceed with your normal lashing routine!

Final Step: Use Bonder

After your last fan is placed, be sure to wait at least 2 minutes before applying lash bonder. Bonder works by speeding up the curing process, prevent adhesive fumes, and adds elasticity to bonding points.

  1. Wait 2 minutes after your last fan is placed.
  2. Squeeze one drop of Super Bonder onto a micro-brush or mini brush.
  3. Apply to the adhesive bonding point. Avoid direct contact with eyes.
  4. Allow to air dry or use a fan.
