HOW TO MAKE YOUR SETS POP WITH LASH DECALS
What are Lash Decals?
Lash decals are small designs made from vinyl or holographic vinyl that stick to lash extensions. They’re lightweight, affordable, and come in endless options—hearts, flowers, jewels, fruits, numbers, letters, and even custom words.
Decals are ideal for:
- Birthdays or celebrations
- Holidays and festivals
- Clients who want to experiment without committing to full-color lashes
For example, in February, you could create a Valentine’s Day-themed set with “LOVE,” hearts, or initials of a special someone!
They're also a great way for clients who are hesitant about full-color lashes to experiment with style. A small, sparkling decal can add personality and flair without committing to a fully colored or dramatic look.
How to Apply Lash Decals
For the best results, apply decals on the bottom layer of lashes so they're fully visibly. It's easiest to do this after completing the rest of your set, so the decals don't get in the way.
You can also apply multiple decals on one lash, but make sure your isolation is precise and there are no sticky overlaps. (Optional: Use clear adhesive and/or a sealant to help decals last longer)
There are two main ways to apply lash decals:
1. Make a Spike with Your Lashes
Spikes are closed fans, often used for wispy or wet sets. Spikes that are 2–3mm longer than the surrounding lashes help your decal stand out.
Steps:
- Create a spike by holding the lashes closer to the tip when peeling from the strip—don’t fan them out.
- Let the spike fully dry, then dip the top half in adhesive.
- Tap the decal onto the spike at the top or middle, depending on your desired placement.
- Carefully place the spike onto the natural lash. Placement is key, so ensure the decal is perfectly positioned before attaching
2. Make A Fan And Apply It To The Natural Lash
- Pick up decal with tweezers.
- Use a microbrush or lip applicator to apply a small amount of adhesive onto the decal.
- Place the decal on the top or middle of the fan.
Tip: Decals are very small and lightweight, so focus and patience are essential. Adhesive may stick to tweezers—have a tweezer cleaner ready, or use a dedicated pair.

Aftercare
Tips for clients:
- Brushing: Avoid brushing directly on the decal. Brush gently around it to prevent tugging or lifting.
- Cleansing: Be extra gentle when cleansing lashes to keep decals intact.
- Removal: At the next appointment, remove the decal by taking off the lash it’s attached to, just like you would with an outgrown lash.
Following these simple steps ensures decals stay vibrant and intact for as long as possible.
