HOW TO GET CERTIFIED WITH ÉLAN
If you've been thinking about expanding your lash skills, there's never been a better time to start. At élan, we believe high-quality education should be accessible to everyone, which is why we offer free online training courses designed to help lash artists build confidence, master new techniques, and grow their careers. Our courses cover lash extensions, Japanese lash lifts, Korean lash lifts, lash education, and more, all at no cost.
But enrolling in a course is only the first step. If you want to become élan certified, you'll need to complete the full certification process.
Step 1: Enroll in a Free Course
We currently offer four free online courses designed to help beauty professionals expand their skills and confidence:
- Classic & Volume Lashes 101
- Korean Lash Lift
- Japanese Lash Lift
- Educator 101
Choose the course that best fits your goals, whether you're brand new to the industry or looking to add another service to your menu. Every course is self-paced, allowing you to learn whenever it works best for your schedule.
Throughout the course, you'll learn the theory behind each technique, proper safety and sanitation practices, product knowledge, troubleshooting, client care, and business tips to help you succeed. Our courses also include quizzes and a final assessment to reinforce what you've learned.
Step 2: Complete Every Lesson
To qualify for certification, you must complete the entire course from beginning to end.
We encourage students to take their time. Understanding the "why" behind each technique is just as important as learning the application itself. Completing every lesson ensures you're prepared to perform services safely, confidently, and consistently.
Step 3: Meet the Certification Requirements
Finishing the course alone does not automatically earn certification.
To become élan certified, students must successfully complete the required certification steps outlined within their course, which includes:
- A screenshot confirming course completion
- Well-lit photos of your lash set (either on a mannequin or model works!)
- Screenshot of your posted review for both the course and the LashLab Community
- Order number with purchase of the required product, depending on the course
These requirements help ensure every certified élan artist has demonstrated both knowledge and practical understanding before receiving their certificate.
Step 4: Receive Your Élan Certification
Once you've completed the course and fulfilled all certification requirements, you'll receive your official élan certification via email!
Your certification demonstrates your commitment to continuing education and professional development. It's a great addition to your portfolio, can help build client trust, and showcases that you've invested time into expanding your skills!
